Who decides???

It's okay to get tattoos, no it's not!

It's okay to drink once in awhile, no it's not!

It's okay to see scary movies, no it's not!

It's okay to let a cuss word slip once in awhile, not it's not!

Don't do these things or you'll go to hell!

OKAY, REALLY???

I think some Christians push their views and opinions on others using the name of God to try to justify their judgement. We should do all things to the glory of God...I get tattoos and most of them are related to my beliefs. I glorify God with the majority of them, so does my honoring God in my own way based on my life and the experiences I have been through mean he is going to cast me in to hell? I do agree we should honor our bodies because the Holy Spirit lives in them when we accept Christ as our Savior. However, in that case people who are overweight would be just as guilty of ruining their bodies. Now potty mouths and people with bad attitudes....your not off the hook either, what you are speaking is just a reflection of your heart so the inside should be just as glorious as the outside.

I think Christians need to step up! God called us to love the least of these NOT the people WE think deserve to hear the good news but EVERYONE! Let's not just call ourselves Christians but show we are Christ followers to a lost world.

I have become a construction worker!

I have taken a new job! Most of you are probably laughing at the title of this note because I am totally a girly girl! So bare with me while I explain this new job I have undertaken.

I gave my life to Christ almost 4 years ago and little by little I trusted God with various areas. The year 2009 was my greatest year of change. I FULLY surrendered all of my life to Christ. I had an "ah ha" moment tonight during my spin class. When we accept Christ he lives in us.

1 Corinthians 6:19 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;

On October 3rd, 2009 I made a commitment to lose weight for once and all.

I want to do everything in excellence for Christ so his glory can shine through it. Let me also say that it is only by the grace of God that a person can make it through a spin class...seriously it is hard but well worth it! So I am in the process of rebuilding my temple that Christ lives in so his glory will shine through me as I continue to do his work for his kingdom. See I am a construction worker :)

A time for reflection - A life given to Christ

Sometimes you have to stop running from the past, stop right in your tracks, stand still and breathe. Relax in the moment for it has been given to you by your maker.

Take stock of what you have been through, you were bought for a high price, the blood of Christ. Your everything is in Him and Him alone.

In this moment he is standing beside you, do you feel him? The calming peace is him showing you it is all okay. You have been through hell but you are standing on the rock of your salvation.

The darkness is behind you because you have accepted Christ to be your Lord and Savior. It can never be taken away for you are His beautiful child...rest in that assurance when the past creeps up to take away the presence you feel in Him.

We all have a past, the sin has been broken, the chains of bondage have been snapped off your life. Take a hold of your future and walk it out! Jesus made us victorious NOT victims.

Know that Christ is Risen and lives in us.

What will it cost you? It cost me EVERYTHING!

A choice that cost me EVERYTHING and was worth it!

I want to change this generation while I am here. I want to leave a legacy that will live on long after I am gone. I will give it all up to live for a God who is worthy of everything! I want the glory of God to shine through me and my life...the life he saved! I was once a child living in fear, in a dark corner till he shined his light on me and raised me up. God healed me through his mercy and grace.

I got a tattoo on my back - "Freedom Reigns Romans 8:37" - God has saved me from so much and I know that whom much is given much is asked. Luke 12:48 (NIV) But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.

What would you give up for God? I am in the process of giving it all up to walk out the vision he has placed on my life. Would you give up everything that is familar to be placed in a place you know nothing about? Would you give up your inner circle to expand His kingdom? Would you sell everything you own or give it to those less fortnate? What if God asked you to reach the lost, the broken, those who the world has forgotten.....would you? It may mean you get your hands dirty, you get your feelings hurt by those who are so hurt by what life has given them....but what if you are the hope that has been sent from the Father to reach them. Would you do it?
